Sobisk Breakfast Biscuits (Dollar Tree)

Last Updated on March 25, 2022

Sometimes you don’t have time for breakfast. Not even a simple bowl of cereal. That’s why it’s helpful to keep some convenience foods in the pantry for days when you’re in a hurry.

Pop Tarts can fit the bill, but they’re high in sugar and calories, not very filling, and generally not good for you. Granola bars can be a better option if they aren’t too sugary.

Another choice that’s grown in popularity in recent years is the breakfast biscuit. More like a crisp cookie, breakfast biscuits usually feature oats and whole grains, and they’re lightly sweetened. They’re packaged individually, perfect for days when you need a grab-and-go meal or snack.

Belvita is the most recognized name brand of breakfast biscuits, but you can find private label breakfast biscuits at retailers such as Aldi. Dollar Tree also sells several types of breakfast biscuits. They carry traditional breakfast biscuits that are simple crunchy bar cookies. They also sell some breakfast biscuit sandwiches, which consist of two breakfast biscuits with a creamy filling between.

Today, I’m taking a look at the standard breakfast biscuits Dollar Tree offers.

Sobisk Breakfast Biscuits

Sobisk Breakfast Biscuits cost $1.25 for a 5.29-ounce box at Dollar Tree at the time of publication. They contain 10 grams of whole grain per serving and are a product of India. Each box contains six individually wrapped packages that contain two breakfast biscuits each. That comes out to about 21 cents per serving. These come in blueberry or cinnamon and brown sugar flavors.

These are imported by Sobisk Foods LLC, and their website states they’re based in Morton, Pennsylvania, while the breakfast biscuits boxes say the company is based in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. Both communities are in the Philadelphia area. Regardless, Sobisk appears to be a small United States subsidiary of the larger company Sobisco (short for Sona Biscuits) based in India. Sobisk products are not exclusive to Dollar Tree and may also be found at Walmart or on Amazon, although you’ll probably find a lower price at Dollar Tree.

Ingredients for both the blueberry and cinnamon and brown sugar biscuits include but are not limited to rolled oats, barley flakes, whole grain wheat flour, wheat flour, palm oil, sugar, malt syrup, invert sugar, baking soda, salt, soy lecithin, and natural and artificial flavors.

If you’re looking out for allergens, these contain wheat and soy. They were manufactured in a facility that contains peanuts/nuts and tree nuts.

As far as taste goes, these breakfast biscuits were a hit in my household. My family enjoyed them, slightly preferring the blueberry flavor, but both flavors are good. These biscuits are crisp with just the right amount of sweetness, but not too sweet. I would buy these again if I were in Dollar Tree and needed a quick breakfast or a snack to pack in a lunchbox or hiking backpack. They’re also a good idea if you’re creating an emergency supply of shelf stable food.

The Verdict:

Sobisk Breakfast Biscuits come in blueberry or cinnamon and brown sugar flavors. They’re both good and didn’t last long in our house. They’re ideal for easy breakfasts or as a snack in a lunchbox or on a camping trip.

  1. Do not buy the Breakfast Oats they are smaller and fewer and not as good as they used to be. I am very disappointed In their change in production hoping nobody would notice. I noticed. And I’m very sad. I’ve been waiting for these to come back for months

  2. I swear the breakfast biscuits are same as belvita ones. There’s blueberry. Even cranberry and orange think it was. They’re all yummy
