Power Stick 3-in-1 Body Wash, Shampoo, and Conditioner (Dollar Tree)

Dollar Tree sells a pretty good selection of hygiene products. The extreme discounter offers soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, and plenty of other necessities. Most of them are name brand, since Dollar Tree seems content to stock other company’s products rather than its own.

One of the more interesting examples of hygiene products at Dollar Tree are 3-in-1 bottles. One part body wash, one part shampoo, and one part conditioner, 3-in-1 is handy when you need one bottle to do everything. Granted, it might not do everything as well as three specialized products, but a good 3-in-1 can certainly come close.

I especially like 3-in-1 products when I’m camping or on a trip where I need to keep my toiletries packing lean. It’s easier to work with. Not everyone shares that view, but if you do like having 3-in-1 around, Dollar Tree sells a few kinds, including this number.

Power Stick 3-in-1 1

Power Stick 3-in-1 Body Wash, Shampoo, and Conditioner can be found with the body wash options at Dollar Tree. It comes in an 18-ounce bottle, which at $1.25 runs about 6.9 cents an ounce. That’s right around the same price you’d pay for this product at Walmart, so from a price point standing it’s competitive. What’s more, you don’t have to look very far to find 3-in-1 that is 3-4 times as expensive.

Using it is easy. You simply pour out what you need onto a washcloth or your hand, and then lather either into your hair, onto your body, or both. Simple.

I found this to be an adequate, if not overwhelming, wash. The gel was a little thicker than some other 3-in-1 products I’ve used — you would think that would be a positive, but it also meant more came out than I intended. I also found the lather to be merely passable, with fewer bubbles than some more expensive competitors. It works, but it isn’t top-shelf.

The Verdict:

Power Stick 3-in-1 is a cheap option if you need a body wash / shampoo / conditioner combined solution. It does well enough cleaning the head and the body, but the lather leaves something to be desired. That said, at this price point, I’m not sure I’d expect too much more than what I got. It works.
