Fall Décor at Dollar Tree

Fall is here, and it’s one of my favorite times of the year. I enjoy decorating for fall more than I do for Christmas. There’s just something cozy and inviting about filling the front porch with pumpkins and scarecrows, putting out lanterns, setting an autumn-themed sign on a fireplace mantel or a bookshelf, or lighting a cinnamon candle. When the weather begins to cool off, I love putting on a cardigan, stepping outside with a cup of warm harvest spice tea, and admiring the changing leaves in all their colorful splendor.

I buy a lot of my fall decorations from Aldi, which sells everything from pumpkins and gourds to porch signs and inflatables for the lawn. Aldi is definitely a great place to shop for autumn décor on a budget, but dollar stores are a true hidden gem when it comes to finding inexpensive seasonal decorations. Specifically, Dollar Tree, where everything is just $1.25, is a good store to visit if your budget is really tight but you still want to enjoy the seasons.

Here are a few of my favorite fall-themed items I spotted during a recent visit to one of my local Dollar Tree stores. This post deals only with general fall decorations such as pumpkins, leaves, and apples at Dollar Tree. I’ll share about Halloween decorations at Dollar Tree in a future post. Keep in mind that inventory and selection may vary by store.

Ceramic Mini Pumpkins

These ceramic pumpkins look like they came from a much fancier home goods store.

Some of the cutest fall decorations I saw were some mini ceramic pumpkins in various colors, ranging from white to orange to a speckled red. Standing at just a few inches tall, these are ideal to tuck onto a shelf or to put next to a table centerpiece. These look like something you’d pay a lot more for at a store such as Pottery Barn or Pier 1.

Dishes, Kitchen Towels, and Potholders

If you’re looking for dishes to set your Thanksgiving dinner table, or to use any time this fall, Dollar Tree was in the process of setting out these beautiful leaf-patterned ceramic dishes when I went shopping recently. I spotted large and small plates along with bowls, hot pads, and kitchen towels, so you can completely customize your kitchen décor for autumn.

Mini Loaf Pans

If you’re one of those people who likes to bake pumpkin bread or banana bread in small loaf pans to give as gifts, Dollar Tree is your store. This fall, they are offering several ceramic loaf pans with pretty fall colors and designs. These pans are so inexpensive that if you give them as gifts, the recipients can easily bake their own treats in them and continue passing them along.

Tabletop Signs

Tabletop signs and plaques.

Wooden signs and plaques with fall colors and cute phrases are in style, and at Dollar Tree you’ll pay a fraction of the price to get in on the trend. I spotted a variety of small signs perfect for placing on a shelf, mantel, tabletop, windowsill, counter, or even a covered porch. The options range from long narrow rectangular signs that say “thankful, grateful, & blessed” to pumpkin-shaped signs that say “give thanks” or “welcome friends.”

Hanging Signs

Wall or door signs in all shapes and sizes.

I was surprised at how many cute door hangers or wall signs Dollar Tree had in stock, including pumpkin patch-themed signs and autumn leaf signs, along with signs featuring sunflowers, fresh apples, or nostalgic trucks filled with pumpkins. At $1.25 per sign, this is an easy way to decorate the front door or any space that needs a little fall ambiance.

Craft Supplies

Dollar Tree has a surprisingly robust craft selection any time of year, with sewing and embroidery supplies, paints, scrapbooking gear, and more. During the fall, Dollar Tree ups its crafting game with autumn-specific craft supplies such as mini fabric sunflowers leaves, tiny pumpkins, suncatcher painting kits, and wooden pumpkin, acorn, and turkey signs ready for painting.
